Director of Marketing, Sewing Notions SBU - (Dyno $35M; over 400 SKU’s)

Responsible for overall management of Dyno’s largest SBU. Required daily
management/communication and quarterly visits with three Asian factories. Responsibilities
included product improvements, packaging redesign, SKU rationalization, annual
budgeting/planning, and plan-o-gram resets for Dyno’s key retail customers - Wal-Mart,
Target, JoAnns Fabric and Craft, Michaels, major food and drug retailers.  

Led and managed an extensive, customer specific, new product development effort bringing
three major new product lines to retail. Introduced 1). Simplicity Sewing Notions Line of 55
items with innovative product in a visually distinctive retail presentation exclusively at JoAnns,
2). Singer Fusion Thread Line of 70 SKUs with both superior thread and unique spool
features to JoAnns and mass retailers and 3). Singer Orbs Hand Stitching Embellishment
Program- an innovative system of iron-on designs and coordinated hand stitching thread
assortments merchandised in unique packaging to Target.

New product responsibilities included business opportunity analysis, concept generation,
product development, all marketing planning and sales presentations to key accounts.  
Development coordinated with Asian factories.
